Once Upon a Time...

The cottages were purchased in 2015 due to their prime location on the prettiest and most photographed street in St Ives. The properties were in a near derelict condition and sadly in need of lots of tender loving care.

And They Built That House with Slate and Stone...

It was our vision to transform the cottages into beautiful spaces where holiday makers could enjoy time out in luxury surroundings. Over a two-year period, we slowly and on occasions painfully, saw our initial concept transformed into reality with the creation of Iris, Wella and Juliot.

The Transformation Team

No expense was spared in creating our dream holiday homes and the remarkable renovations were achieved with the assistance of highly skilled professionals who are experts in their field

George Robinson, a Cornish craftsman from Penzance, built and installed the beautiful bespoke kitchen, wardrobes and fittings, the final finish of which is completely outstanding.

George uses wood from sustainable forests and tries to incorporate energy efficient appliances wherever possible.  He is committed to ensuring the company hands on their skills and crafts as an inheritance to future generations.

Samantha Johnson, a Windsor based designer was responsible for reviewing the architects designs to make the most of the internal layout and for creating the gorgeous interiors.

Her attention to final detail was exceptional with a wonderful seaside theme running through all three properties.

Visit

Carpenter Oak provided local craftsmen who undertook all of the major joinery work including the challenging installation of hand made and pegged oak beams in Iris and Wella which are one of the stunning features within our cottages to be enjoyed by our guests. They also installed beautiful matching staircases in the larger properties.
